ACT English with Joanna S.

Hey there! My name is Joanna, I am 21 years old and I am a junior at John Jay College in Manhattan where I major in Law And Society and minor in Psychology. I have experience teaching students from ages 5-18 and have been tutoring at The Dicker Reading Method for a few years, as well as doing a lot of private tutoring in reading and math. I thoroughly enjoy watching each individual progress in their reading levels and gain confidence in themselves as they move along in the process and reach their goals. It is so rewarding watching some one grow to have faith in themselves and begin believing that they can accomplish their goals. I have a lot of experience working with kids from several years of babysitting and having two younger siblings. Reading is a hobby of mine and is something you'll likely find me doing in my spare time. I also enjoy watching tv shows, hiking, and playing the piano.
