The SFG system is one which there is no heavy digging, no hard work, no weeding, and no thinning. You'll use only 20% of the space compared to a traditional garden, use 90% less water, save 95% of your seeds, while enjoying 100% of the harvest. These gardens are 100% organic. I've been a square foot gardener for over 20 years and have been able to grow delicious, organic, safe food for my family, neighbors and local restaurants. I only have 174 sq. feet of garden space, but with a SFG, you get 100% of the yield in only 20% of the space normally used with a single row traditional garden. I was taught by the inventor of the SFG system when I lived with him for 4 weeks in Eden, Utah many years ago. My love of food drove me to the love of gardening. And once you grow your own, not only do you save money, you also have a better eating experience.
