I find inspiration in people, art and nature. I love spending time out in the fresh air, exploring nature, gardening, drinking tea, cooking, being creative, having a good conversation with old and new friends alike, travelling, and learning about different cultures. I like to participate in the world by being helpful to people and the environment. Teaching has been rewarding work that allows me to be of service to my community while embracing my various interests. I enjoy teaching both language and gardening (particularly sustainable and native plant gardening). In regards to teaching language, I understand how important and fulfilling it is to be able to engage with the people and world around us. I have taught students from various backgrounds, ages, and levels at multiple organizations on a professional level since 2004. It would be my pleasure to assist you with your language learning! I also have owned and operated my own sustainable and native plant landscape design and gardening business for the past 5 years. I care deeply about environmental issues and am highly motivated by the positive difference sustainable residential landscapes can have on the larger environment. Empowering others to create their own environmentally friendly, native, habitat gardens and be part of the solution is of great interest to me. I offer classes on how to do a lawn conversion project, sheet mulching, plant selection, planting, basic drip irrigation, and garden maintenance.

Jessica is a patient and professional teacher. She conveys the lessons well and is always happy to slow down and make.sure I understand! I ant wait to practice my new skills on my next trip to Mexico! Thank you Jessica!
I absolutely LOVE my garden!! It brings me great joy to sit out in the early morning with my cup of tea and smell the plants as the sun wakes them up. Jessica really listened to what I wanted. Her suggestions and tips were helpful and easy to follow Going from a conventional garden to a native garden was the best decision ever! It's good for all the living creatures and saves our precious water.
Jessica helped us create an amazing garden for our company headquarters. We recommend her extensively. She is professional and delivers her work on time. Her knowledge about gardening is vast and will teach you a lot.
