    All levels of chess lessons with an experienced chess coach

    I am an experienced chess coach who works with all levels of scholastic and adult players. I hold a USCF CM title, as well as having 15+ years experience coaching absolute beginners up to A Class. I am an attacking player who has a aggressive tactical style where sacrifices and king assaults are my specialty. If you are looking to play quiet chess, then my lessons are not for you! I teach my students to seek and exploit the advantage from move 1. We will increase your knowledge of Strategy, Tactics, Positional Elements, Middlegame, Endgame, and Openings to name just a few. We will also train and hone the crucial skills necessary to improve your playing level such as Critical Thinking, Calculation, and Pattern Recognition. My goal for every student is for you to someday win a chess game against...ME! Looking forward to assisting your mastery of this awesome and amazing game!

    Hi! I am a USCF CM level chess coach and trainer with over 15 years experience assisting students of all playing levels achieve their chess goals. I coach students from absolute beginner to A Class and beyond. I play 1.e4 and have an aggressive attacking style, and so I will teach you how to obtain and to exploit the advantage from move one. Using proven training methods, I will improve your knowledge in Strategy, Openings, Middlegame, Endgame, Positional Elements, and Tactics. We will train your essential skills such as Calculation, Planning, and Visualization. These are just a few of the things we will explore and learn. I'm looking forward to assisting you on the road to mastery of this ancient, amazing and beautiful game!

    Jerry was able to quickly assess my level and current issues by replaying recent online games. He ran thru the openings I used, demonstrating several variations as well as traps I could employ. Very happy with both his assessment and the customized class to immediately improve my play!!!

    Jerry did a phenomenal job of teaching me the game of chess and growing my game. Jerry is professional, punctual and patient. He has a great command of chess and does an exceptional job of build your foundation of understanding with a goal of mastery. He is readily available to answer all questions and makes the learning an engaging endeavor for the learner. I highly recommend Jerry for any student of chess, no matter the level of understanding.
