The classroom is my happy place and my profession. The studio is where I refuel and have fun. I love to merge my vocation (Learning and Development) with my avocation (playing with beautiful threads and fabrics) into one. We all learn best when we are having fun and this is really fun learning. I am good at breaking lessons down to the easily doable and designing lessons for the specific learner I have an undergraduate degree in Clothing and Textiles from Oregon State University, A Masters from Seattle Pacific focused on Adult Learning and level Three certificates in Embroidery and Design from London City and Guilds. I have been really fortunate to study independently with great teachers and research great works in places like Bayeux, France and the Ratti Textiles Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I believe in stitching for those I love. It is more important for work to be interesting than perfect. And, as Matisse said, "Creativity takes courage." I will help you be brave.
