Maximize Your Billiards Skills with Premium Advice from a Veteran
I have been a PBIA instructor for over 15 years as well as player for 20+ years. I am no magician, I cannot make anyone a better pool player! However, for those that are interested and motivated, I can provide the knowledge, guidance and tools for any player to become their own coach and maximize their skills.
About James (JP)

I can teach you anything from fundamentals like stance, pre-shot routine and stroke mechanics to more advanced concepts such as bank and kick shots, jump shots, combinations, caroms and billiard shots. So no matter if you've never held a pool cue or you're a seasoned veteran, take your game to the next level for less than the price of a good pool cue when you bring me on as your instructor/ coach!

I met with billiards instructor, James, for my first pool lesson last night at Mr. Cue's 2 in Atlanta. He is absolutely the best pool instructor ever! He was right on time, even a lttle early, and his skill at the game of pool was exceptional. I've only played about 10 pool games in my entire life, and by the time my first lesson was over, I was hitting long and short shot into the pockets! He esplains not only game fundementals, but also explains the techncal side of making a great pool shot. James, is so smart, and his easy going personality put me totally at easy. I was just lucky to get James as my billiards instructor. I'm very excited to meet him again soon to continue lessons. Thanks, James, for all your help!!!

I'd strongly recommend James. His advice, direction and feedback were incredibly helpful. I will definitely be scheduling additional lessons.

The American Poolplayers Association (APA) was founded by professional poolplayers and Billiard Hall of Famers Terry Bell and Larry Hubbart in 1979 as the National Pool League, which became the American Poolplayers Association in 1981. The two realized the popularity of the sport, but knew, that different from other sports, there was no existing recreational league system. Today, the APA, also known as the Canadian Poolplayers Association in Canada and the Japanese Poolplayers Association in Japan, has grown to nearly 250,000 members and boasts more members than all other “national” leagues combined. The League is administered locally by a network of Franchise Operators, called League Operators, and is conducted weekly in a variety of both 8-Ball and 9-Ball team formats. There are nearly 300 APA Leagues throughout the U.S., Canada and Japan.
