I am a fashion designer/instructor and entrepreneur of 30 years, I do my best to combine my passion for clothing and accessories with a classroom environment, where I guide students in topics such as sewing, patterns, and trends in fashion. Having prior industry experience and a professional portfolio, I am well equipped to share my expertise of fashion with anyone who is interested in learning the ropes. I hold 2 degrees in fashion design, and I also worked under various titles both in NYC and south Florida in the fashion industry before I branched out on my own with my own label Lordana. I also have a 30 year + fashion industry experience in sewing, designing, technical drawing, CAD, and pattern making. 12 years from my 30+ experience were spent at The Art Institute of Fort lauderdale where I taught fashion and merchandising courses to college level students. I have also been teaching sewing and pattern making classes to students from elementary to college levels. If fashion is you dream, don't be afraid to get on board of my ship. I am a fashion designer and fashion instructor of 20 years of teaching fashion design courses to students from elementary to (12 years) college level. All together, I have a 35+ year fashion industry experience in CAD, sewing and pattern making. I also guide students on topics such as portfolio preparation, designing, sewing and trends in fashion. Having prior industry experience and a professional portfolio enables to be well equipped to share my expertise in fashion with anyone who is interested. I hold an AS and MFA degree in fashion design, a BS in Prof. Mgmt. and a MS in Technology and TESOL that enabled me to be well equipped in order to be a better educator. I have worked under various titles both in NYC and South Florida in the fashion industry before I branched out on my own as a fashion designer/entrepreneur creating and selling my own clothing collection. My goal is to share my knowledge and skills with every fashionista out there. If your dream is to become a fashion designer, don't be afraid to get on board of my ship. If I could give 10 stars I would. Guerda is amazing!!! I felt very comfortable from the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out. She is very beginner friendly and extremely patient. She is a good hearted soul and I would recommend her to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.

I am new to pattern making and sewing and Guerda has been SO helpful and patient with me! I am not afraid to ask her questions and she really takes her time with me. Even though she is an advanced seamstress with her own fashion brand, you can tell she really enjoys sewing, even the basics, and her passion really translates onto her teaching. I have now been with her for 10 classes and my pattern drafting skills have grown immensely!
