District Ten NYC Drug and Alcohol Prevention Counselor

Was a head supervisor of a school based drug prevention program. I taught guidance counselors how to work with at-risk kids. I ran parent groups, principal groups and my favorite part of the job: workshops and counseling groups with teenagers.

Technipro Institute

I taught at this college for two years. I taught remote classes in English, Composition and Literature (American and European) Most of the students were adults. Many had families and jobs. They were going for degrees and graduate degrees to further their education. I loved these students. Many were foreign and they wanted to much to fulfill the American dream. I loved this job and loved the students. Sadly, the school closed.

Charter Schools USA

I taught middle school and high school. I taught English, gifted, social studies and values clarification. I specialized in essay writing and creative writing. I also worked as a counselor during this time.
