About Gabriella M.
"If you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough." - Einstein.
I believe this applies to higher math as well as all analytical subjects, and the reason it's difficult to learn them is that most often, the teacher doesn't fully understand why it works. Most people who can do math understand how it works. Why is important. To me, math makes sense. When it doesn't make sense to someone, that tells me there's a missing piece of information, they need to see something differently. I am excellent at finding the missing piece(s) and bringing that understanding.
I have a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science because I love those topics and they make total sense to me. I have worked in multiple fields (computer programming, technical writing, statistics, and alternative health) and taught many people. As a homeschool mom, I have been the one in our local group to teach math to the higher level students, through high school. I love helping people see that the logical/analytical subjects (like math, science, and computers) make sense.
My goal in tutoring is to hear the words "this is easy!" or "Ohhhh - now I get it!", and I hear them a lot.
I look forward to helping students really understand the material in front of them, and would love to help you fully understand so it can be fun!
