Learn Quant Finance from NYU Tandon Prof!

Have revenge on the nerds! - Why not learn the lucrative field of quantitative finance from a prof at NYU Tandon, a top rated financial engineering program? You’re up against the Black-Scholes equation, Ito’s Lemma, Monte Carlo simulation, etc., but, fortunately, I can help. Yes, I have all of the things you would hope for in a financial math tutor - 800’s on my math SAT’s, a math B.S. (MIT), a math Ph.D. (NYU’s Courant Institute) and years of quant experience at HSBC and Deutsche Bank, but what matters is why NYU hired me: I can take you from elementary calculus and probability theory (or an even more basic level) thru whatever you need to know in quantitative finance. Contact me for additional meeting locations (coffee shops etc.). My experience is that an hour isn't quite enough, so I am offering a price break for that extra 30 minutes.

    About Edward W.

After post-docs in mathematical biology with MacArthur Prize winner Stuart Kauffman and with Nobel Laureate Manfred Eigen, Ed joined HSBC’s interest rate derivatives desk, where he helped devise profitable trading strategies and improved the marking-to-market of interest rate sensitive deals. Moving on to Deutsche Bank, Ed managed several risk technology projects, using his own knowledge of risk to design the systems. As a result of Ed’s contributions to the Education Committee of the Global Association for Risk Professionals (GARP), he was invited to his current position on the faculty of NYU Tandon’s Department of Risk and Financial Engineering, where he has both taught and supervised 4 master’s theses. Currently living on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Ed has consulted for the New York Clearing House, a boutique CBO issuer, and three hedge funds, and privately tutored over 50 students in everything from high school algebra to corporate finance to advanced option theory.
