Chemistry Lessons with a 99th Percentile Scoring Medical Student

As a previous general and organic chemistry teaching assistant and peer mentor at the University of Central Florida, I have worked with many students with greatly varying levels of understanding of the subject. My goal is always to figure out where the misunderstanding with my students begins and to work with them at their own speed to get them to the finish line. I aim to help my students understand the material rather than just learn how to answer questions correctly. I want to help you learn in a way that actually works for YOU! Thank you, Devon

    About Devon F.

My name is Devon and I recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Biomedical Science. I am a current medical student and am spending some free time tutoring and mentoring high school and undergraduate students. I have previously served as a teaching assistant and tutor for biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. I have also served as a peer mentor for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and UCF's Biomedical Sciences Department. I feel honored to help students find what they are struggling with and do my best to make difficult concepts appear less intimidating. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and I hope to use my years of experience to help you achieve your goals. In addition to tutoring, I am absolutely more than willing to talk about my path to medical school for pre-health professional students and offer any advice or support that I can. My students have 24/7 access to my phone number and I encourage them to reach out to me with any questions or practice problems they may have trouble with outside of our scheduled meetings. My path to this point has been a long one, and I am very excited to use my experiences to help you take the next step in your academic journey!

Fantastic tutor! Devon took the time to personalize my lessons according to my school's curriculum, and prepared me for exams with bootcamps and practice problems from his own resources.
