Health Care and Education Research based in Havana, Santa Clara, Camagüey, and Trinidad, Cuba. I explored the implications of the U.S. embargo on scientific development and education in Cuba while engaging with organizations such as CENESEX, the Cuban Academy of Sciences, and the University of Havana to conceptualize solutions to mutual health concerns. This research culminated in a book chapter entitled Science Education and Practice in Cuba.

I conducted research and published a paper entitled "Disparities in Rural Health Care: A Look at the Field of Laboratory Medicine," exploring healthcare disparities in rural areas across the United States. I simultaneously drafted and analyzed recommendations for BRCA screenings and pharmacogenetic testing. Finally, I had the opportunity to discuss bilateral health care concerns with Cuban Ambassador José Ramón Cabañas.
