About Damion L.

Hi there - I currently work as a tax accountant for a local CPA firm in Houston, Texas. I hold both bachelor's (St. Edward's University) and master's (University of Texas at Austin) degrees in accounting. My tutoring career has spanned 11 years and I've loved every minute of it. It brings me the utmost joy to help students achieve their academic goals. Most of the subjects that I teach students in are based around numbers: financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, corporate finance, microeconomics, algebra, differential calculus, pre-calculus. I primarily work with students in a collaborative style, which means that we work on problems and discuss concepts together to enhance understanding. I also make sure to incorporate my practical working experience to make topics more relatable. When I'm not wrangling numbers, I'm usually out looking for the best steak or watching all kinds of live sports.
