Courtney has been teaching since 2012 and is available for private lessons online. Courtney possesses a passion for the English language, and she uses this passion to help students improve their writing, speaking, and reading skills. She has studied to teach native speakers and non-native speakers of English and can tailor her lessons to match any student goal.
Courtney attended Truman State University where she graduated with a B.A. in English in 2011. After that, she moved across the country to Washington State University where she received her M.A. in English Literature and began teaching international students. After that, she moved back to the midwest where she worked on her M.A. TESOL at Central Michigan University while teaching English to speakers of other languages full-time. She completed her M.A. TESOL in 2016.

Taught ESL, GED, and Workplace Readiness classes for College of the Redwoods at locations throughout Humboldt county. My classes were community-focused and are highly adaptable based on student interest and need.
Taught all levels and all skills in the English Language Institute. These courses were designed to teach academic English skills to international students of different backgrounds and language levels.
Taught English as a Foreign Language at a Chinese design school in Hefei. These classes were part of a partnership with Central Michigan University.
As a teaching assistant I taught 5 sections of English Composition and 1 section of Composition for Speakers of Other Languages.
