English instruction from an approachable teacher with an M.A. TESOL and an M.A. English Literature
Students often develop anxiety or a lack of confidence that causes them to struggle with English. These issues are very real and can affect student's enthusiasm and dedication to other subjects as well. I am very aware of these issues and my lessons not only teach skills and methods to become better in the subject, but also address and try to work on some of the difficulties students have had in the past. I am eager to show students how they can change their relationship with English and turn it into a tool they can use to improve their lives.
About Courtney K.

I have been teaching adults at the professional and university-level since 2012 and have an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Central Michigan University as well as an M.A. in English Literature from Washington State University. I have always possessed a passion for the English language, and use this passion to help students improve their writing, speaking, grammar, and reading skills. I have studied to teach native speakers and non-native speakers of English and can tailor lessons to match any student goal.
