I have over 5 years experience providing services as a certified Speech Language Pathologist. I have a masters degree from Central Michigan University targeting communication, speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
In my scope of practice, accent modification and reduction are second nature. Through evaluating your specific pronunciation, cadence, rhythm, and inflection, I can increase listeners perceptive ability to understand what you are communicating.
Intervention in voice disorders is an area I have a lot of experience with. Those especially with nodules, polyps, or hemorrhaging from overuse can be rehabilitated through an individualized exercise plan. Many singers, teachers, and public speakers have changes in their voice from overuse that I can help with to rehabilitate and provide useful strategies to reduce future damage. I can also provide strategies to preserve and care for your voice for anyone with a horse or tired voice at the end of the day's job.
I have provided habilitation and rehabilitation to those of all ages from birth through the elderly. I have significant experience in using my knowledge and skillset to assist others. Currently I provide services at an outpatient facility in Lake City, MI and am eager to expand the area I can reach through online sessions. I look forward to providing a partnership for a better you!
