Cantonese with Avis Y.

Avis holds her Master Degree in Collaborative Piano with Ms. Anita Pontremoli at Cleveland Institute of Music, and she also works with Dr. Peter Bennett of harpsichord study. She holds the Bachelor degree with First Class Honours from Hong Kong Baptist University, studying piano with Mr. Stephen Wong Wai Wing and harpsichord with Professor David Chung. Avis has appeared in the harpsichord master-classes of Michele Benuzzi, Joyce Lindorff and Michael Tsalka. Avis was the teaching assistant in Brevard Music Festival in 2022. She has been giving private and group violin and piano teacher since 2014. She had participated as an accompanist in different local and overseas competitions, including Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and the World Choir Games. As an active ensemble pianist for vocalists and instrumentalists, she had participated in the master-classes of Benjamin Hughes, Joel Smirnoff and Valentin Peytchinov. She started giving piano and theory individual and group lesson since 2014. Students aged from 5 to senior. She plays close attention and tailor lesson to suit individual’s need.
