I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and have been practicing for over 8 years. I have a Master's degree in speech-language pathology, and my minor in college was American Sign Language (ASL). I have spent much of the last 8 years doing online speech and language therapy with cyber school students. This experience has helped to develop my skills and familiarity with tele-therapy, which can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy. In graduate school, I provided accent modification therapy with non-native English speakers who worked as graduate assistants and teachers. During the past 2 years, I have worked with adults seeking accent modification in a virtual setting with TakeLessons. I also have substantial experience working with adults of all ages on speech and language skills (among others) in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics. Practice makes progress. I will help to provide you with the skills you need to improve your English pronunciation, rhythm and intonation, and overall speaking skills for increased clarity in conversations and work settings. I will also give you activities to do on your own. Your commitment to your goals during and outside of lessons will contribute in large part to how much progress you make and how quickly you make it. Just a little more about me: I enjoy traveling, reading, yoga, movies, animals, and being with my family. I also enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and languages.
