To the extent of what I learned in my experience, Andrew is a great percussion teacher for students looking to join a band or marching band. He obviously had a great amount of knowledge and experience with the instrument itself but also the teaching of it. By the end of the first lesson we had already moved to patterns with 8 strikes on each hand and was presented with an arsenal of other exercises for afterwards to find a rate of improvement when given time. He is a very patient teacher and is sensitive to mistakes and which ones to focus on. I could safely recommend him to any of my friends who are also into percussion, and can speak from experience that any nervousness of getting a new teacher quickly dissolves after the first lesson. Great teacher.

Excellent teacher!

he is a good teacher

very good teacher

My five year old son had his first drum lesson and loved Andrew. He makes learning about music fun and is great with him. We are looking forward to many more lessons.

My son is really inspired by Andrew. He makes it so much fun, and DJ is progressing well under his guidance and encouragement. Andrew has been very good about making sure that DJ is learning the stuff he wants to focus on, not just being a slave to an instruction book. We highly recommend him.

Friendly, knowledgeable and patient.

Great teacher.

Awesome lesson! Andrew is knowledgeable with the conga techniques. Can't wait to progress with him down the line!

Lets start off with Andrew, he is a great teacher. He is straight-forward when he needs to be, and doesn't beat around the bush. However he is highly considerate and friendly. As a high school student in a high competition area, my fellow percussionist lack guidance in terms of what to know about drums/percussion. I came into the year having bad technique, poor reading skills (reading music), and not a lot of confidence in playing in front of my class (solos required by school). Andrew was able to help me with all of those things. Also, i never feel rushed, and you can go at your own pace, yet some how there is always improvement. If your having any doubts, one lesson would clear those up. All in all, Andrew is a great teacher, and i look forward to continuing my lessons with him. (I have had about 18 lessons with him so far)
