I am a full time guitarist, songwriter, producer and touring musician! I have been teaching professionally for over 7 years and love working with beginners, intermediate players, as well as those who are looking to enhance their own personal songwriting and unique approach . From kids to adults, I look and draw from a curriculum that caters towards individual needs and goals and set up a weekly plan to enhance and cultivate a routine and daily practice surrounding musical growth. I grew up playing in the blues community, and a lot of my foundation is rooted in this theory, however I have learned a lot along the way and have a set of tools and roadmaps that accommodate differently for each age range and lesson plan. I have in I also play the bass, sing and work with electronic production to arrange for songwriters and live shows. If you are older in age and need any help on the business side of planning your trajectory or are wanting to grow some skills for taking music to the stage, ...

"Before Neil, my 9-yr old son had taken "group" lessons for a year that were unstructured and did little to expand my son's interest in playing (thankfully these were with friends so he stuck with it).

Having studied music very seriously, I helped him a little but knew that a real guitar teacher is what he needed. Neil is just what I was looking for! He has a very laid back "attitude" but he's laser focused on keeping things moving, keeping things light, and being totally encouraging. He also is very open to teaching rock and jazz and I can tell he just wants to teach a student whatever style/music type that will keep the student engaged. After every class my son has been satisfied and excited with what he's learning (and I stay and listen and get a kick out of it too). We drive quite a ways to get to his place, but it has been totally worth it. Thanks Neil! You RAWK!!"

"Mauricio is a very talented musician. He's friendly, punctual and professional. He's always more than happy to answer my questions. He was also very patient when helping me choose a guitar for my father. Mauricio is currently teaching my father how to play a Nylon Spanish Guitar (beginner). My father loves his lessons with him and always looks forward to the next one. As of now, he's only had 4 lessons, but he's already more confident. I can also see how much my father has learned and improved in such a short amount of time. We will definitely continue guitar lessons with Mauricio and I would recommend him to any age group."

"I had only had experience with a few other guitar teachers over the years, and studying with Paul has been great so far. He's not an intimidating or imposing teacher in any way and was ready to meet me right where I was at as a musician from day 1. He's given me some great content to work on and I'm already figuring out how to apply what he's taught to become a better guitarist. Highly recommended!"

"Ahmad is incredible!! I could tell from day one he was going to make a huge difference in my guitar playing. His lessons are prepared in advance so very little time is spent penciling out lesson material. His teaching studio is a very clean and professional, and his super well organized library of teaching materials allows us to maximize our learning time. I love playing his teaching material! None of the guys I took lessons from before had such an effective approach. I have so much fun with it! His lessons have introduced me to various pop, rock, country, metal, and jazz concepts from very popular musicians. He has a unique way of teaching rhythm that has helped me capture phrasing and keep songs in time. Recently I've started taking his harmony classes. These classes have given me the knowledge to confidently play with other musicians and create great music. I would highly recommend Ahmad for anyone that desires to learn more about the guitar. I am moving back to Arizona for work (and sun!). I wish I could take him with me!!"
