"Everyone should have and play a Uke. It's so simple to carry with you and it is one instrument you can't play and not laugh! It's so sweet and also very old--some are made of wood--some are made of armadillo's. I love them. The more the merrier. Everyone I know who is into the Uke is crackers. So get yourself a few and enjoy yourself."--George Harrison

I had a one off single lesson with Matthew, I was only in New York for a couple days and was lucky enough to get a sing writing session with him. He gave some great insight and valid techniques towards song writing. He was easy going and very friendly. Would certainly recommend.
Sami
Matt is an awesome instructor. Unlike a traditional guitar teacher, Matt understands what his students want to play, making lessons much more interesting and making practicing much easier. I've had a few lessons with Matt and have learned more in those lessons that I could have ever learned by myself. Highly recommend.
Diana
Just had my first piano lesson with Matthew today. He is a truly great artist and instructor who will teach you not just about the playing technique but about the music theory/history behind it. Would definitely recommend!

I've been teaching ukulele for 5 years and love seeing my students discover their own musicality and style through ukulele! I specialize in teaching school-age kids, teens, adult beginners, and secondary instrument learners.

As a ukulele beginner, you’ll learn to keep your strumming steady while changing between 2-5 basic chords within a few lessons. You will find in just a few lessons that the songs you know and love are actually accessible and playable! With continued practice, you’ll start to create your own songs using the chords you know, and you will learn more complex chords, transposing, and reading melodies on the staff.

I'll make your lessons meaningful to you, by creating many of my own visual aids to meet your level and interests. We will blend your favorite modern genres with “classic” and “classical” tunes, and explore composition and songwriting along the way! I strive to always give you just enough detailed, technical instruction for the day, while leaving the ...

Sarah is a kind and knowledgeable hoop instructor. I couldn’t hoop on my waist at all when I started taking lessons with her and now I am able to keep the hoop going indefinitely. And while working to improve my waist hooping I learned a variety of off-body tricks and combinations. Sarah is great at tailoring lessons to any skill level and focusing on your individual goals and limitations. She is also really friendly, approachable, and open to feedback. I would definitely recommend!
Caitlin
I have taken both in-person group classes and online group classes with Sarah. She always does a great job of catering to the students' levels and including some things everyone can do as well as some new things for everyone to learn!
Noelle
Sarah is such a wonderful teacher with just the right balance of patience, sterness, and fun, perfect for my young child just learning to play.

"I hadn't played a musical instrument since elementary school when I started Ukulele lessons with Ben. Ben started from the beginning, answered all my questions along the way, and built upon that information in each lesson. It wasn't in a didactic way, but in a way that was really customized to fit my Ukulele lesson goals. Ben's teaching style is very flexible also. I had some Ukulele lesson books I had been gifted and we worked from those. I didn't feel that I had to buy a bunch of additional equipment, books, etc.

I recommend Ben as a music teacher. He is understanding, encouraging, and inspirational. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with Ben and JC Instrumental."

The warm and bright tone of the ukulele instantly transports you to a tropical island. The instrument had its beginnings on the island of Madeira off the coast of Portugal. In the 1800s, the ukulele made its way to Hawaii by way of immigrants.
