I have been teaching Spanish for 20 years. I am professional Spanish Teacher, originally from Cuba. I have a specific teaching curriculum with an emphasis on conversation and tailored lessons! I believe learning a new language should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life. My classes are for all levels – it doesn’t matter if you are a total beginner! I am a native Spanish speaker who has been teaching and tutoring Spanish for about 7 years. My goal is to make learning Spanish enjoyable, and I want to help the student feel more confident expressing their thoughts and ideas in a foreign language. I am very patient and supportive of my students all throughout the learning process .

My approach strikes a balance between grammar and verbal comprehension/ speaking skills. I try to lay a strong foundation that will help the student succeed on every level.
Often students do a lot of written exercises but seldom have an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned. That is why conversation is such a fundamental part of my lessons.

My lessons are very interactive. I teach using sentences and phrases that relate to your personal or professional needs. We start with a simple conversation that builds up as much as it is comfortable for you. The goal is that you can apply the material immediately. During each session, we go from conversation to reading and writing (just like when you learned your first language). I have been teaching Spanish to children and adults for over 6 years and ESL for over 10 years. Let's get started!

I am an experienced Spanish instructor (and healthcare interpreting instructor), with more than 10 years' of experience teaching Spanish at middle and high school levels, as well as the university level and business professionals. I have a master's degree in Spanish and am currently pursuing my doctorate in education, with a focus on curriculum and instruction. I have also lived abroad and attended school in Spain. I have taught Spanish to students who know nothing about the Spanish language to heritage and native speakers of Spanish looking to improve their grammatical knowledge of Spanish.
