Ethan is a great piano teacher!
we just finished our 2nd session, and i enjoyed the lesson so much, i can’t wait to have next session.
he is passionate, detail oriented, and professional.
he is also flexible, and experimental in his teaching, eager to see me flourish, trying to get the best from me.
he has this uncanny communication skills to help me appreciate and understand more deeply a music piece i am learning.
most of all, in just 2 weeks, Ethan helped me to recover “fun” and “freedom” during my piano practice (:))

I have been teaching for 18 years and have taught hundreds of satisfied students. When you sign up for lessons with me, you will begin by learning the basics of the instrument including proper holding and playing position, tone production, rhythm, first position notes, basic notation. Once you get the basics down, you will learn how to play very simple melodies and songs. All of this can happen within the first 4-6 months of playing.

About Dave

Dave K. began playing guitar at the age of 10. His influences include Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny and Scott Henderson. At the age of 17 he began teaching private guitar and bass lessons to classmates

I haven't played the violin since I was in middle school, and I wanted to re-learn to play it. I am so glad I picked Dave, he is very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I jumped in with both feet and Dave made the instructions at our first lesson easy for me to understand. Excellent location and studio is awesome.
Rushia Hendricks
Excellent lesson. Does a wonderful job at taking older students and gently holding their feet to the fire to bring out the best- even under the most challenging of circumstances. Kudos to being such a uniquely great teacher!
Tom L.
I realize it was the first lesson but I was a little disappointed that we spend nearly the entire time on housekeeping items, like canceling and re-scheduling appointments. I think that could have been covered with an e-mail or handout. I also thought we spent too much time going over the differences between acoustic and electric guitars - considering my age and background. Would have liked to see him demonstrate what I was asked to practice before the next lesson instead of just being told to refer to the workbook.

Bailey was an excellent lesson instructor! She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted out of my violin lessons and tailored her approach to meet my background and ability level. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of the instruments she teaches, and her positive energy is contagious! I learned so much from Bailey and always enjoyed our lessons together.

Bailey gives great feedback and helped my son learn new songs quickly. Thanks!

Bailey is an amazing teacher! I am primarily a low brass player, but had wanted to get better at piano. Bailey was able to analyze my musical needs, and developed a plan for my specific goals. She is great at focusing on specific problems and giving you advice for fixing them. At the same time, she is patient, and would be great with children, as well as adults. I would highly recommend getting lessons from Bailey!

"Mr. Anderson was my teacher from 5th grade to 12th grade. He is a wonderful instructor who cared about my growth and helped cultivate my talent as a cellist! I will always be thankful for his patience and encouragement as my school, family, and extracurricular events moved in my life. He is creative in merging my talents with pieces and camps where I could showcase my talents and be challenged. I am very glad that I had the chance to be one of Mr. Anderson's students, and I still keep in-touch with some of his other students to this day. I think that speaks to how Mr. Anderson creates a culture of caring, talent, and fun. All of which are critical to not only playing cello, but also in life. Highly recommend him as a cello teacher and a life mentor!"

"After only two sessions I am so glad to have found Jessica. She is patient, observant, helpful and so encouraging. I was unsure how online cello lessons would work but this is the ideal format for me. Jessica is able to observe form and offer gentle suggestions how as well as instruction on sound. I wish I was able to take the lessons in person with Jessica because there are a couple limitations to Skype (such as a slight lag and inability to have seamless dialogue or duets) but Jessica obviously knows how to deal with these technical problems. I highly recommend Jessica and am sure that with her help even an old, slow returning cellist will soon be enjoying playing complex music. Finally, Jessica has been very flexible with my crazy schedule lately. An awesome person and great instructor."

What is a Yamaha Cello? A Detailed Look for Cello Students

Who made your cello? Who carved the body, stained, varnished, and assembled the instrument, including the label visible through the f-hole which bears their signature? Many musicians consider the maker of their instrument, or luthier, a point of pride. There are famous luthiers, like Stradivari and Guarneri, whose names are synonymous with masterpieces of craftsmanship. These masters innovated many of the standards for modern stringed instruments, and so many luthiers might include on the la …

What is the Suzuki Cello Method?

The Suzuki method, founded in 1945 by violinist Shinichi Suzuki as the Talent Education Movement, is one of the most enduring teaching methods, or pedagogies for young string players. Suzuki’s main goal for his music education system was to give students a “noble spirit,” which would instill respect and cooperation through his method. The method was brought to America in the 1960s by John D. Kendall, and today the Suzuki Association of the Americas instructs new teachers and studen …
