I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in sight reading, technique and music theory. I may follow a lesson book when teaching beginners but I also teach how to improvise and how to use other methods of learning music such as learning by ear or using chords.

I've been teaching music since I was 25, and my students have gone on to become professional musicians, lifelong friends, and most importantly, happy from the experience.

I do not use method books but rather take the students' requests and pieces they love and turn them into sheet music by hand.

I do not tell the students what they do wrong, only what they do right. Everyone makes mistakes, so when that happens, I tell the student "Good!" and move on to the next musical success.

About Jon

Jon N. was born and raised in Mexico City and is proudly an American citizen. He has been performing since the age of three, on several instruments, studying music since fourteen, and still takes lessons to this day. What's not to love? He is proud to teach at all levels, including many professi

Emily is a great teacher. This is my son's first time playing guitar and he has gotten really good. She teaches him music theory too. And, he gets to play all kinds of songs including classical.

Miss Brown is an awesome piano and guitar teacher. When I retired a few years ago I took piano with her. Now she's teaching me how to play guitar. Since I know how to play piano, it's so much easier to learn guitar. She's teaching me how to play in a band too. We jam together me playing guitar and she plays piano. Miss Brown makes everything easy to learn. I'm having so much fun learning to play music!

Tired of being frustrated at the piano? Tired of looking looking of looking at the sheet music and still not knowing how to play it? Or lacking the freedom to play any song you want just by ear and in any style, whether pop, jazz, or classical? Wish you could improvise freely in any style, compose and arrange for piano and other instruments?

These are the things I specialize in, I've spent years playing professionally and composing and even producing in all these styles, whether classical, jazz, or popular and contemporary music. I've come up with a unique teaching formula that works for all ages and skill levels, and have a lot of experience teaching dozens of students in a step by step proven method that works. I condense the information you need to know of music theory, technique, style etc. in a quick easy to learn fashion with the right exercises to go along with them. Complete musical freedom!

Whether you are looking for a great teacher to get your kids started playing ...

Daine has been teaching piano to my 8 yr old grandson for 2 months. He provides materials, a little homework and is always available for questions. He responded immediately to my inquiry and has always shown up on time. I would recommend him to anyone!

Daine is an outstanding piano instructor. His friendly yet focused lessons have dramatically increased my son's interest in piano. His lessons have reinforced the basics while also covering music theory and expression. This has taken my son's performance ability and understanding of piano to the next level. Daine is also courteous, and always on time.

Daine is an excellent teacher that moves at a quick pace. In our family he teaches three different levels: An adult beginning learner, a self-taught teenager who needs to learn technique and music reading, and a 7 year old beginner. He adjusts the level of lesson to match each of us and does a great job. He is always on time and has a bunch of cool resources for us. He also explains "why" we are doing the things we're doing, which I find helpful.

Patient and encouraging

I'm always impressed with how Jessica is patient with our 7 year old daughter and still is able to draw her out and motivate her when she is tired from school. Jessica always finds creative ways to be inspirational. Both my husband and I drive 15 miles to be able to have Jessica teach our little girl. We think she is worth it. She has been flexible and always tried her best to work within our schedule and has even driven out to our house to cover a lesson when things didn't work out in the schedule.

I highly recommend Adrianna Svitak as a piano teacher. When I met her, I had already been playing music professionally for about 30 years. I was mainly a jazz player, but I’d had some classical training. I told Adrianna some of the things that were challenging me technically and she picked a piece for me to work on that not only helped me in the areas I was struggling with, but one that was inspiring musically as well. She took the time to assess my abilities and then pointed things out that enhanced what I already knew in addition to immediately correcting bad habits I wasn’t aware of. I felt my playing improve very quickly after the first couple of lessons. She is a great and thoughtful musician who is generous with her knowledge.

Adrianna is very patient and knowledgable. She asked me about my needs and prepared the lesson material that best suit me before hand and ensured not a minute of our lesson was waisted!

Adrianna teaches her students with enthusiasm and pays great attention to their needs and interest. She customizes her teaching to encourage her students to develop their musicality.

"Sean has been working with my 10 yr old for almost a year. He comes to our house and was very flexible with timing so lessons fit nicely into our schedule. Our daughter was new to the piano and our goal for lessons was to just introduce her to music while having fun learning. She has enjoyed her lessons and is progressing. Sean is patient with her and makes his lessons engaging. He's made sure he's meeting our goals for her learning and told us he's open to changing her lessons as we would like. Sean is a very talented pianist and my daughter enjoys hearing him play during her lesson."

"I have had the good fortune of working with Ginni for two years. When I started with Ginni I was an adult beginner, and couldn't read music. What a difference two years makes!

Ginni is incredibly patient and positive. She recognizes even the smallest of gains and encourages me with her kind words. I could not be more blessed to have found such an excellent, supportive piano instructor.

Do not hesitate to sign up your child or yourself for lessons. You will never regret having the opportunity to work with such a wonderfully talented gentle instructor.

I have watched Ginni work with six year old to 61 year old (me) and she genuinely enjoys working with all! Ginni is a delightful person and a joy in my life! GINNI IS THE BEST!"

5 Piano Exercises That Target Your Left Hand

As you're playing the piano, does it feel like your left hand just can't keep up with the right? Here, Corona, CA teacher Milton J. shares a few piano exercises to add to your practice to target this common struggle... The dreaded left hand. The hand with a mind of its own, the hand that lags behind the right, and the hand that does not seem that smart. While all of these conjectures are common, it stems from a lack of detailed attention to developing the accompanying left hand in conjunction …
