My approach to teaching is simple. The primary goal is to have fun and enjoy the experience of making and creating music. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in music or just wanting to add a bit of a creative outlet to your life, I can help.

My specialties include jazz, r&b, and pop piano styles. I do teach a little classical but primarily to beginners only. My curriculum is simple. I try to teach you what it is YOU want to know and that which fit your needs. There are some fundamentals that we all must learn, but typically I can have you playing a song your first lesson. As you progress, you will be able to learn to play songs on your own and interpret simple chord charts with melody.

Buzz is an excellent teacher and brings real world music experience into his instruction. As a touring musician, producer, song writer, and arranger, Buzz has an understanding of practical application. When I perform, I am always looking for ways to play smarter, and Buzz always helps with that. Buzz will break down music theory in a way that makes sense and that I can apply to my own playing on gigs and in rehearsal sessions. Buzz is a tremendous teacher for beginners (I have watched him give lessons to young students and he is excellent) , but if you are an experienced player and are just looking to get better, working with Buzz will get you there. I promise you'll play better after one lesson.

The lessons (piano & music theory) I learned from Buzz Amato was the sole reason I got signed to a label & was able to produce 2 Billboard charted singles (which he co-produced with me). I now tour the world djing and produce with talented artists that come to me based off my musical knowledge, that I received from Buzz. I can honestly say NONE of this would happen without the musical instruction of Buzz. Thank you Buzz!

I have been playing piano for 11 years now and have been professionally employed for weddings, graduations, and church events. The first lesson is to get to know you, where you're starting from, and what your goals are. I'll let you play for me if you have prior experience, but total beginners will start with the basic motor skills. I'll include ear training, theory, and appreciation necessary to enhance your skills as a pianist.

About Sarah
Recent graduate from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. I have three years of experience teaching with excellent feedback from students. It should be fun to discover new patterns and ways of thinking! I always seek the most thorough and intuitive understanding of a subject possible and want the same for you. This creates the flexibility necessary to be able to teach you in whatever manner helps you best.

I'm very good with all ages. I've been teaching for 34 years (started teaching at 13).
I can teach classical piano, chord theory, jazz, pop, improvisation, composition, songwriting, theory, arranging and synthesizer.

I also have worked with children and adults on the autism spectrum, with very favorable results.

Some of my greatest successes have been with elderly students. Piano is great therapy for arthritis and older individuals often have time to commit to lessons.

About Steve
I'm Steve, the picture upload would not work, but I promise I'm a human being and I've been teaching professionally for over 30 years and I'm only 47! As you can tell, music has been a huge part of my life forever!

I work with all ages and all development levels. I have had great success with students on the autism spectrum as well asindividuals who have recently retired and need a fun hobby to keep them active and creative.

I have worked with theater and television actors, signed recording artists, producers and published composers.

I incorporate many facets to lessons, but each lesson is uniquely crafted for each student's needs and ability.

I also strive to keep lessons upbeat and fun!

I use different curriculae for different students, but I emphasize proper technique, so the student doesn't develop bad habits that can be detri
mental to progress.

Thanks for reading.

Like many of my colleagues, I began as a vocalist and did not know the importance of a secondary instrument such as piano until the end of my first Bachelor's Degree. Once I had made it into a top conservatory for a second degree, I realized that I had to play catch up to learn one of my dream instruments. After years of working extremely hard with respected professionals in the industry on classical and popular music, I've developed various teaching styles and tips to help the most basic beginner master this beautiful instrument. I believe that learning through tough circumstances has not only made me a better musician, its made me a more mindful musician and that is even more important than grasping musical concepts themselves.

About Denisha
A natural performer at heart, Soprano, Denisha Pompey believes that classical singing found her while attending the University of South Carolina Upstate. Although she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, her passion for the arts later lead her to Converse College where she also earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance.
Always drawn to unique projects, Denisha Pompey made her first operatic stage appearances as the fairy Millie in the Children’s opera Glue by Carrie Leigh Page Drake. The opera was commissioned by the University of South Carolina Upstate as an outreach program.
Ms. Pompey made her International debut in Puccini operas as Lauretta and Nella in Gianni Schicchi and Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica with the Mediterranean Opera Studio Festival. After receiving a Master’s of Musi
c in Voice Performance from Georgia State University, she was a featured Young Artist for Marble City Opera performing the role of Lisa in Hugo Weisgall’s The Stronger, and appeared as a soloist in Capitol City Opera’s Annual Gala. She has also made a successful Carnegie Hall debut as Papagena with concert appearances as Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. While onstage quite a bit, Ms. Pompey never abandoned her love for piano and plays every moment she gets. She enjoys teaching both voice and piano to anyone who also shares the love of music.
