Hi guys!
I'm Ron, and I hope to be your new teacher. I'm currently located in Atlanta, GA having recently relocated from Detroit. I've been a professional musician most of my life, playing keyboards and singing for many Michigan bands. I have been teaching voice, piano and recording at the Detroit School of Rock and Pop for the last 7 years. During that time I helped a number of students through their college auditions which led to their acceptance at schools like Belmont and NYU. I was the Instructor for a recording/production class using Pro Tools and Logic with a focus on arrangement & composition. I also co-authored the soon-to-be published vocal book Sing For Your Life, about using good technique to keep your voice healthy for a lifetime.

Let's get started!

Ron is an excellent piano instructor! He communicates in a way that opens my mind to learning and reading the piano in a simpler and more efficient manner. He has helped me learn basic techniques of chord structure and finger positions then transcends those methods to fit the current trends in pop music today. He is very patient and also has a great sense of humor, so I would recommend Ron to any student who is interested in learning to play the piano!

Flexible with my schedule and provides a unique learning experience instead of the categorical training I've encountered before.

Ron is an excellent coach. He has a great amount of experience both as a performer and an instructor and this translates through his teaching style. He tailors his lessons to your goals and your style to help you accomplish what you are aiming to achieve. I have already began to see results in my own singing for my rock band Motor Earth and am looking forward to becoming a better all around musician, thanks to Ron!

Ron is fantastic! This is my first time with a vocal coach, and I've never felt confident enough to sing anything other than back-up or harmonies. I've only had three lessons so far, but I feel way more confident and I'm able to sing songs that I never thought I'd be able to. Ron is very encouraging, but also really honest when it comes to areas of improvement. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their vocal abilities!

Wonderful teacher with patience. Ron has real world experience playing piano and his ability to relay both experience and knowledge of the piano is excellent.

I am adult restarting how to play piano. It has been very easy to adjust to Ron's teaching style. He is very patient. He really picks up at your level and is dynamic in making changes to your progress.

As the Executive Producer and founder of The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music, I have a reputation for having the best staff and students in Metro Detroit. For many years prior to his relocation to Atlanta, Ron was an integral part of upholding that reputation. He has been a great teacher, mentor and colleague of many on our team and, while it's sad to see him in a warmer climate than Detroit, I know he will bring a lifetime of music to many more people there in the coming years. I selected "Pop Piano" for this review, but please know that he was awesome at voice, piano, and recording skills with our team in Detroit. - Kudos for reading this far, as Ron is worth every moment of time you spend learning about him or with him.

I started working with Ron in Detroit when I was about 14, to really get my voice together and to be ready to hold the tests of time. Recording in studios and playing in bands around the area it became important to find my true voice and learn proper technique. As well as, to gain the knowledge to work with and constantly perfect. I'll soon be 22, and I can still say he is a great friend of mine, and still as inspiring and nice to talk to as the day I met him. I give much of the knowledge he gave to me, onto other artists I produce, and work with. I've seen it not only make the world of difference in my sound, career, and life; but also in the others I've been able to pass it on to today.
