Play from your heart!

I've been teaching piano for over ten years, and my students have gone on to make piano a life-long hobby, play in recitals and at church, or just enjoy playing for friends and family. My objective as a music educator is to instill in students a lifelong passion for music. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic melodies and as time goes on you'll begin to play your favorite tunes comfortably. I love working with students of all ages and levels, and I can't wait to meet you!

About Caleb H.

4.9
(10)
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Caleb began playing piano at the age of 5. Throughout his childhood he took lessons in piano and voice. Caleb has a Bachelor of Music degree from Bob Jones University, Master of Music degree and Performer's Certificate from USC, where he studied under pianists Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers. Caleb's work with children spans far beyond teaching, having worked as a staff collaborative pianist at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and playing for numerous children's masses and choirs. He recently appeared in performances with The Atlanta Concert Series at National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Agnes Scott College Community Orchestra, Kennesaw State University, City Winery Atlanta, Brevard Music Center, Burgos International Music Festival (Spain), and Wiener Musikseminar (Austria), was named prizewinner at the 2008 South Carolina Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition, and adjudicated for the 2012 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition Young Jury. While he enjoys the opportunity to perform, Caleb's primary pursuit is teaching, using his professional experience to educate students by exploring the beauty of music. Caleb enjoys concertizing as a soloist and collaborative artist, and has experience preparing students for exams and competitions, including Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music Exam and the National Federation Music Competition.

I've now had a month and a half of lessons with Caleb and he's exactly what I'd hoped. I stepped away from the piano as a teenager MANY years ago and he's helping me brush back up and giving me great advice and methods to practice and improve. I've definitely seen lots of improvement already.

I've had prior piano experience years ago and decided to get back into it. Caleb has been a phenomenal guide and I have seen much improvement from when I first started. He is extremely knowledgeable and will always work around your goals. I would 100% recommend Caleb for anyone in the area.
