My son Joshua has been playing trombone for 5 years before we were introduced to Jackie Falcon. Her incredible talent and professionalism stretched Joshua's skills to the point that he now plays for several churches and is planning to enlist in the Marine Corps and play in one of their regional bands. She is an incredible asset to 'bone' players at all skill levels.

Jacquelene Falcon or Jackie if you will is a great lesson teacher !!! She's young, intelligent, laid back , and a cool person to be around. She makes sure to work with students to exemplify their strengths and build upon their weaknesses. During my time with Jackie she's improved my breathing, sound quality, tuning, and my range. Her lessons feature unique exercises that center on focusing on one aspect of your overall playing. I would definitely recommend her if you're seeking lessons or just want someone to jam with .

Two lessons in and I've already seen a dramatic change in quality. I've been with vocal coaches who seem to change their teaching styles almost every other week, and that can be detrimental to any student. I can tell Sara is confident in her abilities and techniques, and I recommend her to any singer, beginner or veteran.

Alejandro has been teaching my kids violin for several months now. Choosing him as my kids' violin teacher was a great decision. 1. He is incredibly patient and kind with the kids (offers the perfect amount of encouragement). 2. He holds them accountable and expects a lot out of them (in a reasonable kind of way). 3. He teaches well. He has a way of making complicated concepts easier to understand. 4. He is an all around wonderful person. 5. Every now and then he will play his own violin and it is just beyond heavenly. My kids listen to him play and are inspired to work hard (Make sure you have him play a little on the first lesson...you won't regret it!) 6. He is reliable, always on time, always professional, and his rate is worth every cent.

My kids (5 and 8) have made incredible progress working with Alejandro. He is an amazing violin teacher!!!

Alejandro is an excellent violin teacher to my kids (8 and 5). He is very patient and encouraging to them. He gives them clear assignments that they can work on through the week. I was hesitant to have my 5 year old son start violin because I didn't know if he would be able to understand what to do. But, Alejandro breaks everything down and has him work at an appropriate pace that is doable and very satisfying for my little guy. Alejandro began their first lesson by playing a beautiful song on his violin (he is extremely talented!). Hearing the beautiful music that can be made got my kids so excited to learn violin!

Estela A.

Columbia, SC

About Estela

Hello black belt musicians and parents! I am the CEO/Founder of a private studio, as well as a classically trained trumpeter currently residing in the city of Columbia, South Carolina. As a young musician, I frequently earned high marks on solo performances and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the John Philip Sousa Achievement Award and a musicianship solo award from The Instrumentalist Magazine. When I was 11 years old (and my amazing mother can testify here) I said I would pursue music as a career...but little did I know exactly how.

Actively working in the Tampa Bay area
in Florida allowed me to perform with a variety of wind ensembles, symphonies, jazz bands and chamber groups, as well as playing for church engagements and as a soloist. My favorite adventure was playing Principal trumpet for The Tampa Bay Symphony for four seasons and in 2010, I had the pleasure to share the stage with the pop vocal group Rockapella. Other performance locations include Italy, Peru, Montreal, England, Myrtle Beach, Williamsburg and more. Performing has always and still is a passion and important factor in my career, but education didn't fall behind.

When it comes to teaching the trumpet/horn/theory, my students experience dynamic lessons and always walk out inspired. While living in Florida I was a brass coach with focus on trumpet at Don Banks Music in Tampa and a featured trumpet coach at ADES Education Center. It wasn’t long before I started my own studio. My students often advance in chair placements at their own schools, win auditions into county/state honor bands and are accepted into college music programs. I am also the trumpet instructor at the Palmetto Center for the Arts, Hand Middle School and I teach unique master classes at various schools.

Coaching each student individually is my passion, providing them with the necessary workouts to get them “MusicFit” is my challenge and witnessing their success is my reward. Whether you are beginner, pre-pro, 5 years old or 55, I can assure you there is a place for you in my studio. So, what are you waiting for? Get started today!

My daughter, Emily, began private lessons with Estela during the second half of her sixth grade year while taking band as an elective. Estela seemed to transfer her enthusiasm for the trumpet to my quiet daughter. When she started 7th grade she was placed in the Symphonic band, bypassing her peers and was chosen for the All County Honor Band in 7th and 8th grade. She also earned superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble during 7th and 8th grade. During Emily’s time with her she encouraged her to participate in a trumpet workshop and attend some trumpet concerts at the University of Tampa, and provided recordings of famous trumpet players for her to enjoy. All of these different musical experiences that Estela exposed Emily to helped foster an enthusiasm and love for the trumpet. As a parent I am very grateful for Estela’s influence on Emily. She helped my daughter catch the trumpet bug.- Barbara Lind, parent, studied for 3 years.

Estela goes above and beyond of most private lesson teachers. She establishes a level of professionalism with her students that any band director would appreciate. Her expectations for her students are very clear and the results are undeniable.- James Barnes, band director, host of master class.

David B.

Columbia, SC

About David

I just love teaching. People say I have a knack for it. Students sometimes come to me with doubts that they'll ever be able to learn the material. They soon learn they can.

I am very laid back. I believe frustration has no place in academia. Encouragement, motivation, and plain old-fashioned love for students has taken me a long way in my career. That said, I am one to push students to shoot for the stars. They will feel challenged, but their hard work helps them overcome and improve.

David Bachelor has been teaching both myself and two of my daughters the principles of Arrangement and Composition. It has been a fabulous experience! He is SO knowledgeable and yet so kind and patient as he teaches the principles and we try to absorb and learn. He offers very useful critique which is uplifting and yet gives correction and direction. We love him!
