About Ryan
I have been playing the piano for 7 years, but have been involved in the musical institution for much longer than that. I am currently pursuing my bachelors in classical piano performance from California State University of Dominguez Hills, with not much longer to go. I have also been shaping minds young and old in piano technique and music theory for the last three years. And, I believe I am an ideal teacher for anyone just starting out, to those who are trying to continue from where they left off.

*** Lesson Details ***
My first and foremost goal is to inspire a student to want to learn and thrive in their instrument. If I can do this, my job along with theirs, becomes that much easier. I try and do this by heavily incorporating the music that they identify the most with, while strengthening their technique with a classical foundati
on. And, introduce a well rounded set of incentives for each of their accomplishments.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide sheet music and books, I expect the student to provide the instrument they would like to take lessons on.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, Contemporary, Popular Song

The most rewarding and, perhaps, the most accessible form of entertainment and enrichment - especially with the affordability of electronic keyboards - may be playing the piano.

If you've always wanted to learn, there's no time like the present. Keep in mind that the first lessons are sometimes the most challenging, as is the case with learning any new skill. But the fun soon follows! And the mental and physical coordination is good for your health and longevity. What's not to love about learning to play piano?

I have taught piano and general music in private, school and conservatory settings for 40 years.

About Patricia
Whether your goal is to train for personal enjoyment or a professional career I'll help you achieve that goal. My voice students sing all styles of music. Piano students learn to play the music you want to play.

I teach private voice for The Young Americans College of Performing Arts and for the Music Conservatory at Mission Viejo Christian Church. I've also taught for the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA).

I currently sing jazz and selections from the Great American Songbook at local clubs and venues. In the classical realm, I performed professionally with Los Angeles Music Center Opera Association, with Opera Pacific and with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. I'm a San Mateo County Vocal Competition prize winner, and former staff soloist for the televised Crystal Cathedral Hour of Power Choir, and I've recorded at the histori
c Capital Records studios in Hollywood.

I honed my skills with Natalie Limonick (formerly general director of the USC Opera Program, director of the UCLA Opera Workshop and Opera Guild of Southern California President), Esther Andreas (Metropolitan Opera), Naomi Farr (New York City Opera), Nina Hinson (San Francisco Opera), Marion Cooper, Dietrich Erbelding, Charles Ross Perlee (conductor, San Francisco Opera and Bremen Opera), and several other respected teachers and coaches.

I have an Emmy® for writing, I'm a former TV Arts & Entertainment news host and producer, NPR radio station affiliate jazz show host, and a former columnist for The Los Angeles Daily News. I'm a working spoken voice-over talent and an active member of SAG-AFTRA and AGMA.

I have been teaching piano since I graduated high school, and will continue to do so until I graduate with a music major in college. I teach out of plenty of different books, depending on age level and learning style. I teach from my own home, the music store in Redlands, and can even travel for lessons for a small fee. What I teach and the way I teach is dependent on the student, and what I believe will be useful for them moving forward. But, the most important aspect is fun!

About Dominic
Hi! My name is Dominic and I'm a lifelong lover of music. I've found through experience with studios, other musicians, and professional teachers, that teaching music is what I want to do. I have a huge passion to help students stay interested and engaged, because I believe that if a student loves what they are doing, they WILL become great at it. I would love to cultivate that success! Students will be taught theory, technique, and performance skills. These skills are vital to a students growth, and will be a major focus in my lessons. They will also learn to play music that they enjoy, alongside practical repertoire. I teach beginning piano, violin, ukulele, and guitar lessons. If you're looking for someone with a flexible schedule, lessons offered on and offline, and a passion for teaching new skills, consider me as your teacher!

My lessons will consist of adaptive teaching. Depending on age, I will approach teaching in a manner to instill the knowledge for learning music notation along with the ability to play the piano. Beginners: Ages from 7-12 years old will start with basic fundamentals of music. This will be active lessons with learning both music notation and the piano until the student can apply both skills together. Any ages higher above 12, will be approach with a similar method of teaching if they are beginners. Music selection for the students can range from any sort of genre depending on the availability of sheet music. This way it can be taught with the appliance of music theory while learning their musicality. Age difference comes with different types of music. Which I believe effects all of us. So the best music to teach the students, is through that connection. However Classical teaching will be focused heavily, because I believe it's the foundation to playing music. My goal is to teach the ...
