I have been teaching the wonderful instrument of the piano for more than seven years.

I utilize the Faber Piano Adventures piano series of lesson books that includes lessons and homework in a fun and engaging way to promote retention. I also use the publication A New Approach to Keyboard Harmony to learn chord progressions, sequences, modulations, realization of both figured and un-figured basses, basic improvisation, and score reading. Learning these techniques will help transition students seamlessly to various styles and genres that incorporate the piano, helping you learn and love the piano without frustrating stoppages that often lead us away from lesson continuity.

From there, for intermediate and advance students I use the Hanon Piano Exercises Book to promote correct and precise fingering, syncopation, arpeggiation, pedaling, and key centering.

I was apprehensive in the beginning for my first in person ukulele lesson. I didn’t want to feel stupid or be a slow learner. But Chris Immediately made me feel comfortable and by the end of the lesson I felt I had made a friend. He is so knowledgeable and walked me through at my pace. After watching endless hours of YouTube ukulele videos, I finally understood the concepts with Chris’s help. Can’t wait till my next lesson with him.

Amazing teacher! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve with their instrument. Lessons are fun and based on what you want to learn. I'm lucky to have him as a teacher!

We play games and activities to help each student develop their piano potential. Currently we're playing water balloon games with rhythms, notes on the piano and staff. The students love how piano lessons can be incorporated outside. Providing opportunities to play in the community, that produces more experience and confidence as a pianist.

*Learn fundamentals of how to play, yet allowing students to learn other styles of piano music they are interested in.
*Students complete tasks and musical concepts to help them succeed as a musician.
*Spend time creating and composing new songs through games and activities, including Crazy Critter Composing.
*We make up songs about events that happen each day.

About Andrew

I'm an accomplished accompanist and vocalist, with 10 plus years of expertise. Currently, I’m a volunteer worship leader at church, for over 6 years; helping other musicians fulfill their ultimate potential through training and education. Collaborate with other musicians for worship opportunities

Mr. Andrew is kind, funny and engaging.

My son (6) always has the best time at lesson and wants to know immediately when he gets to go back.

Our son has a lot on his plate and watching him have something that's just his that he is happy to do and enjoys this has been such a bright spot for our whole family.

- and Mr. Andrew is in direct correlation to that.

I recommend Mr. Andrew to anyone who is looking for a teacher who is kind, funny, engaging, and wants to help you succeed and gives you opportunities to use the skills you have learned.

"Wonderful teacher! I would highly recommend Josh!

Josh is truly a great teacher. I took piano lessons with him, and I have to say that he is always encouraging, and his teaching style let's you grow at whatever pace you feel comfortable. He is incredibly talented and so friendly! If I had the money, I would take lessons from him multiple times a week. I had a background of voice lessons, and he really helped me to learn how to translate my knowledge of voice into my practice of the piano. He is passionate, full of talent, and flexible with his schedule.

You will enjoy every lesson you have with Josh!"

"Brent is a great piano teacher. My son has been taking lessons from him for almost 2 years. He is great at reinforcing fundamentals which is critical for kids to have a strong foundation in music. He is good at motivating my son w/o pushing him unnecessarily. Also he is very open to giving parents the tools to help children practice away from class. Most importantly he makes learning piano fun."
