I adjust and build my lesson structure so students learn what they are interested in and want to learn, while building strong foundations of basic Illustrator vector sketching, as well as converting images scanned into Illustrator and manipulation. I teach Illustrator skills ranging from basic text and graphic design to creating fully rendered vector art. You will learn the workspace and tools as we develop a workflow that suits your style of working and creating. As you advance you will learn the tools and design techniques to "build" any asset or graphic you want to create. You will be able to implement non-destructive effects to your graphics and apply interesting color palettes. If your interests are in digital art, you will learn all of the same drawing concepts of traditional drawing plus digital painting techniques and color theory while using meshes and gradients. If you are a more advanced student, we can dive into more directed areas of study including principles of design, design trends, and graphic styles. I love teaching and I'm so happy I can continue to share my passions with those willing to try something new and challenging!
