Are you looking to exceed your own wildest expectations of yourself? Curious about singing better? Ever considered voice lessons? Have you ever wanted to feel more confident with your sound? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, it's time to explore this new opportunity! As a teacher, I lead my lessons with a gentle approach, whether you are a beginner or advanced musician. I am a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University and earned my Bachelor's in Music: Vocal Performance. With a fresh mind & pursuing my Master's degree, I can teach with confidence. It will always be at your own pace and at your own time. I'm always listening to those I teach in the most positive of lights, but still maintaining a discerning eye over the music you will create. Hiring me as a teacher, I will be working to the best of my ability to display and exemplify what I believe it means to be a good musician. I'm passionate about what I do, and I want to show you exactly why.
About Vanessa

Ukulele is a newer instrument to me, but I have been teaching and performing for over 8 years now. I have played music since age 5 starting with violin and later guitar, which I studied at Berklee College of Music. Uke became a recent passion as I formed an acoustic duo of cello and ukulele (and singing) called DvOd that has performed all over the NW and released a CD. I provide a core curriculum of basic technique and music knowledge, combined with customizing to the student's interest. From Traditional Hawaiian to Eddie Vedder to Jake Shimabukuro, I can help you learn your favorites.
