My son has loved taking lessons with Linda. She is setting just the right pace with him. She is flexible given his strengths and weaknesses. He was genuinely disappointed when I told him he couldn't go to lessons this week because of a family commitment. Can't recommend highly enough!

Linda was great! As an adult beginner with the cello she made the lesson enjoyable and easy to follow. She adjusted quickly for where I knew a little and where I knew nothing. Highly recommend her!

I have been playing since age 4 and teaching privately for 13 years.

A one hour lesson includes 10 minutes scales, 15 minutes etude or exercises and 35 minutes piece. I teach sizuki method up to book 6 or whenever the student wants to switch over to concertos

I recommend sitt scale book and kaiser etudes.
I like to have my student write his/her own exercises until really comfortable reading music

About Monique

I began playing violin for over 30 years and have been teaching since the year 2000. I studied at the Newark Community School of the Arts for 12 years and in the Greater Newark Youth Orchestra where I played at the New Jersey PAC and Historic Symphony Hall. "A great passionate violin instructor.
Loquacious, but each moment of verbal conversation has a message that leads to the musical lessons of the day. I really appreciate her knowledge and skill. I am often reminiscent of my violin instructor as a child. Each session leaves me with the zeal to practice hard in eager preparation

"Christine is great with my children. She helped my high-school student with his orchestra audition (with her coaching, he made it into the highest orchestra at his school). She also helped launch my middle school aged daughter as she started up with viola. Christine is terrific with communication, flexible when possible with scheduling, and is as friendly as a long lost auntie. Her teaching style is gentle and encouraging."

"I am happy to leave a very positive review for Dan! I am an adult beginner, and when looking for a violin teacher, I wanted to find someone with professionalism, a good knowledge of the violin, and of course, patience. My grown children had a variety of violin and piano teachers while growing up and I wish I was able to find someone like Dan for them at the time. My two daughters had piano instruction with an intense, very experienced pianist at a prestigious music school. They learned excellent technique, but it was very stressful and only one continues to play as an adult for pleasure. I am so impressed with how Dan has concentrated on a strong foundation of proper violin technique in a patient, gentle manner. I highly recommend him for students of any age. I recommended him to my daughter for my granddaughter who is 6 years old. His studio would be far for my daughter to get to, but it would be well worth the commute!"

"Omer is giving Violin lessons to my youngest son Eric for the last 6 months. Eric started playing the guitar a few years ago up until a movie he recently saw on a Japanese brilliant violinist , a week later he told us on his will to tryout the violin. Fortunately We heard Omer playing in a jazz club, and contacted him a few days after, Omer is a very talented musician but has unique capability and patient for his students. Omer is teaching with a very relaxed, positive attitude, his passion for music with small anecdotes and humour was what made Eric to get in love with the instrument and he is Impatiently waiting for his next lesson. we highly recommend Omer as a teacher and musician."
