In my one hour of comprehensive teaching, students learn extensively the techniques of the violin, including tone production, vibrato, musicality and pieces of music which are chosen from standard violin literature or Suzuki books. The whole idea is to get students to look at the whole learning process as a fun activity, and very soon they acquire the ability to produce beautiful sounds, correct intonation and strong vibrato. In addition to the above, I conduct some some ear-training exercises to improve intonation as well.

Nader was fantastic! I took Violin lessons for a few years from a couple different teachers, and he taught me new, interesting things I'd never learned before. He's also very patient and nice.
Carolina V.
He is very patient and has excellent communication skills. I have no knowledge of how to play the violin or music of any kind. After my first lesson I strongly feel he will be my private instructor for many years to come. I left with proper technique of how this instrument is to be cared for and good posture when practicing. He also informed me of the books we will be incorporating into my lessons. Most importantly homework is given and he is very patient and explains everything at your level.
Kira
I was very pleased with my first lesson with Nader. He is very kind and patient. We covered some basic points with what we'll be covering for my lessons with the cello. His instructions and explanations of technique is very clear I feel my lessons with him will be very beneficial and enjoyable.

"Excellent Teacher

Along with being incredibly knowledgeable, Alex has the patience and communication skills that really make him excel as a teacher. As a complete beginner to the upright bass (and music in general), I find Alex breaks concepts down in a clear, step-by-step fashion, so that it is not overwhelming. He also gives useful tips on how to be a better learner when tackling challenges, which helps make my personal practice even more effective. Alex is approachable and eager to answer questions even in between classes - I highly recommend him as teacher!"

"Alexa possesses all the tools to teach drums effectively. She is technically competent and is professionally trained at Berkeley School of Music, one of the best music schools in the world. She has years of professional experience teaching and playing across a wide range of drum styles. In terms of her teaching style, she is very patient and uses a methodology that is clear and EFFECTIVE. If you are a beginner or advanced drummer, I HIGHLY recommend Alexa. You will not be disappointed. She will teach you the fundamentals and advanced rhythms; you will be playing popular beats in no time; you will have FUN practicing and playing because Alexa's approach is positive and tailored to what you want to learn. She is a great teacher, a good communicator, makes learning drumming FUN and most importantly, gets RESULTS."

How to Play Slide Guitar (A Step-By-Step Guide for Beginners)

The use of a slide is an interesting concept on the modern steel-string guitar. The ability to use a hard object around one’s finger, such as a broken glass bottle neck, sounds bizarre to a player who has never heard of this technique before. Slide guitar is commonly heard in blues music and it involves pressing an object into the strings to create glissandos (slides) and vibrato to emulate a human voice. In this article we will discuss the origins and playing style of this unique technique, …
