Tutoring has been a major part of my life for over 7 years and I love it. Seeing the excitement in a student's eyes when they finally get something they've struggled with is why I do what I do. My strength is in getting to know the way a student learns best and finding techniques that support that style and help the student grow.
I have experience working with mild autism and have multiple references if interested.

I love helping others. That is what drew me to tutoring and personal training. Both allow me to meet clients where they are and help them get to where they want to go! I have experience working with a wide age range: 1.5 - 55 years old! I have worked with students on math, reading, writing, critical thinking, fine motor skills, word and letter recognition, phonics, ACT prep, Spanish, Probability & Statistics, and High School English. I have also trained various clients for weight loss, cardiovascular and muscular endurance, flexibility training, strength, fitness competitions, hip hop and tap dance. I believe with hard work and dedication, you can achieve any goal. I would love the opportunity to help you get there!
I have been tutoring formally for 3 years, but I have informally been doing it since elementary school! I've always been the go-to person when one of my peers needed help with their school work. During my sessions, I like to keep it interesting for my students. For example, I work with an autistic child 1-2 days/week on reading, writing, math, money, critical thinking, following directions, and fine motor skills. Because he has a short attention span, I like to break up the written work with games and puzzles to keep him engaged. Your sessions are all about YOU and I will tailor it to your needs.

Leah was born and raised in Central Florida, and she traded the sunshine for some colder winds with her move to Chicago upon finishing high school. Leah attended Northwestern University, and she received her B.A. in Communication, graduating a quarter early, with a Major in Theatre and Minors in Business Institutions and Dance. Leah has always had a passion for teaching, beginning with teaching her two younger sisters growing up, and extending beyond from then until now, teaching classes every day!
