Having been a runner since my pre-teens, I have competed in both short distance sprints & long distance races (up to a half marathon). In that time I have studied under amazing, award-winning coaches & have amassed a great deal of knowledge regarding the subject. In our discussions/training, we will cover breathing techniques, proper running technique, warming up & stretching adequately before performing, etc. In conjunction with hands-on training, we will discuss dietary plans, varying training regimens, proper hydration, & how to build a routine that will increase your overall physical & mental wellness.

I have been running for 5 years. I run in various races ranging from 5k to full marathons. I have a love for training new runners as the growth is rapid and transformational. My technique for this class is hands on and normally includes running along with you for each session leading up to your first big goal, whatever that may be. Normally that means your first 5k. But knowing how I fell in love with it, you will probably far surpass your first 5k! I personally run minimally (on the fronts of your feet, with minimal padding in the shoe) however I teach for all different techniques.
