My usual procedure depending on the student usually is to follow any lessons they have prepared from school OR provide my own lessons if required.  If you are learning how to write an essay for class, I give you outlines to use.  If you are learning vocabulary and/or reading skills, I give you a book at your level or let you choose a book you want to read.  While I tutor, I ask questions about what we've covered during the session and schedule periodic quizzes.

Hi! I'm originally from Montana USA. I grew up in California USA and then moved to South Korea to teach ESL/Basic English Skills to college level students.
