Welcome to Take Lessons! My name is Wagma and I am excited to be your ASL instructor. I am a proud Deaf person and I am a native ASL speaker. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies/ American Sign Language. I received training and teaching from university professors. My professional experience with teaching includes teaching ASL 1 and 2 classes to college students. I also have almost 5 years of experience mentoring and coaching interpreting students. I enjoy teaching and working with students who desire to learn more about sign language and Deaf culture. My goal for all students is to support students with improving their sign language skills and to help students develop confidence in their ability to sign. I will create a fun curriculum for all students that keeps them motivated to learn. My lessons are geared towards students who are a beginner to advanced level, and I will make sure to find how we can accommodate your individual goals/needs.
