My approach to teaching can be summed up in one word: YOU. My classes are tailor-made to fit your needs. The best way to learn a new language is to experience it in a relatable and fun way. I'll work with you based on your interests, needs, and pace. I cannot wait to meet you and get started! I have been a Russian and English instructor for over ten years, teaching at Berlitz, the industry leader in language acquisition. For English classes, my emphasis is pronunciation. As an immigrant myself, who had struggled with pronunciation in the past, I know exactly which sound needs to be a little longer, and which needs to be just a little shorter, to get that American pronunciation just right! I have helped many students of various professions write and deliver speeches and presentations. Your pronunciation will improve rapidly and so will your confidence about public speaking! You will deliver that presentation with joy and ease! For Russian classes, my emphasis is practical application. You will learn Russian in a fun, interactive, authentic and meaningful way! I can take you from A to Z of language acquisition, including grammar, conversation, writing and more. I love seeing my students develop from speaking just a few English or Russian phrases to becoming completely fluent. I have worked with a wide range of students, from coaching a team of engineers at Qualcomm looking to improve their English pronunciation, to training members of the US Armed Forces for the Defense Language Proficiency Test in Russian.
