Levels taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, AdvancedI'm a professor of music with a Ph.D. degree and Turkish is my native language. I had been teaching in Turkey for over 20 years before I moved to the USA. Being a professor in Turkey with a Ph.D. degree requires high proficiency in Turkish. I write papers and articles both in Turkish and English. I study with students on their thesis. Especially I have worked with foreign students and know how to teach Turkish grammar as it will be your next language. As a musician myself, I have a very good pronunciation in both languages. As an expert on online teaching and as being an e-learning researcher since 1993, I study with online teaching tools that no other tutor use.
I have moved to Nashville, TN and teaching music at Tennessee State University. Besides teaching music in the States, I love Turkish and would love to share the beauties in the language and the culture of Anatolia. My advice would be at least weekly an hour of lessons but can be more related to your goals.

Thank you for teaching me in a simple way

Dr. Tem is a wonderful teacher for any age and audience. If you only want to learn to play, then you will be satisfied. However, if you are interested in music as art and a form of expressing one self, you will find this is where Dr. Tem's ability to teach really shines through.

This man is amazing, we are so blessed.

I really enjoyed our lessons with Dr. Tem. He is friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. He gave me excellent feedback on my ideas and I could not have completed my assignments on time without his help. Thank you!!!

Dr Tem is very knowledgeable in this subject, and is a great instructor - very patient, professional, and provides abundant study material for homework.
Highly recommended if you seek a reliable tutor for learning Turkish!

My 4 year old is so happy to take lessons, and he loves Tolga already. He is extremely patient with little ones. He captures their interests, and promotes enthusiasm for learning.

Very helpful!

Dr.Tem is a very kind and sophisticated teacher. He gave me Arrangement and Composition lessons for a one year. If you have any struggle about learning music, he is a kind of teacher who can find the solution for you.

Dr. Tem gave me piano lessons for 2 years. He is a passionate and patient teacher. I highly recommend for people who has interest in taking piano lessons.

Tolga is a kind of teacher who has an innate talent of solving problems. He never goes on without making it clear when you are in need of furter information or lost during the class. He uses certain equipment to help him teach more effectively. His way of expressing his invaluable knowledge is highly impressive. If you have a good ear for music, he can train you in the blink of an eye
