If you plan to use Chinese at work, we can focus our lessons around dialogue and vocabulary that relates directly to your job or industry. If you are a student and want to improve your academic performance in Chinese, I can train you to utilize more efficient ways of studying and practicing. If you would like to gain exposure to or build a foundation in Mandarin Chinese, I can also help you accomplish this.

I am a native Chinese speaker with a BA in English and MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird.  I worked as an English to Chinese translator for 2 years in the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, and volunteered as an interpreter for the City of Austin. During graduate school,  I was a Chinese tutor/language partner for a few of my classmates, all of whom made big progress in their fluency and pronunciation.

Tammy has been very helpful (and very patient!) with me as I am working on learning how to speak Chinese for my work. As a business person, I appreciate Tammy’s background in business to help us prioritize the right topics. Highly recommended.
