Welcome!!! I'm from the Midwest United States, and English is my first language. I love not only language, but the culture that comes with it! My main specialty is conversational English and speech; however, I can also help when it comes to reading and listening comprehension, as well as grammar.
Having several years of teaching college classes I know not everyone learns the same way, so I tailor all my lessons to meet your specific needs! Being able to give lessons and also answer any cultural questions can make the learning much more entertaining than a typical class, so let's share our experiences too!
I have also studied Japanese for many years and have studied abroad in Japan. I can communicate in Japanese, if you are Japanese this may help ease some worries in communication or make it easier during the learning process.
Can't wait to meet and share my love of teaching with those want to learn!

Hello, my name is Su, I am a fashion designer and computer tech. However, have a passion for teaching and have several years of teaching under my belt.
While I have taught mainly adult students, I also work very well with kids and have lots of patience for whatever pace you want to work at and am an active listener when it comes to the needs of my students. In the classroom setting my experience is mainly in teaching a computer aided design while my online teaching tends to lean towards languages, namely English and Japanese. I have also tutored in various classes and have helped people in correcting their dissertations or thesis for graduation.
I have a degree in Apparel and fashion and am about to finish a double major in Computer Science and Criminal Justice from Hamline University.
Ever since I studied abroad in Japan a couple of years ago, my world view has expanded even farther. Meeting people from all over the world has been a blessing and I believe language and culture are intertwined! I love being able to share and learn about other culture different from my own and language is a bridge that allows that.
I have taken several trips to Japan since studying abroad and have also been to South Korea a few times. While I love traveling, I have so many other hobbies and interests from art and hiking, to reading and music. Connecting with people on similar interests is a way I like to keep my lessons unique and tailored.
While I am looking towards starting my own clothing brand in the upcoming future to connect in that way through my art, language can be an art in and of itself. I look forward to creating that unique experience with each student!
