Learn to perfect your written skills with someone who has been teaching for over two decades.

I received my PhD in English from Howard University, and I have been teaching for over two decades as a high school teacher, a college professor, and as a teacher within the education nonprofit that I founded. I enjoy working with students on various skills, including grammar, organization, essay writing, logic, MLA, research, and more. Most students do not like formulaic writing, for good reason, and so I help students develop structure and creativity in their written work in a way that feels natural. Helping students learn to organize their time so that even big projects do not feel intimidating is also important and something that I work on with my students. I enjoy working with students of all levels, and I really like to see my students succeed, feel better about their skills, and feel less stressed about the writing process.

    About Stacey C.

I have been teaching for over two decades, and I love to teach! My first teaching job was at a High School where I taught English and Global History. Following, I received my PhD from Howard University's English department, where I focused on African American literature and multicultural women's literature. For many years, I worked as a Professor teaching English and literature. Most recently, I founded a nonprofit education program that I ran as the Executive Director for about ten years, teaching English, African American Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Gender Studies. I like working with students from different backgrounds, and I enjoy the relationships that I have developed with students and their families. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your writing!
