Hi! This is Serena. I have two bachelor degrees in filmmaking and media studies and history from the University of Minnesota. I have been working in digital filmmaking and live studio recording professionally for over 4 years. As of my second history major, my focused area of study is in Europe and I've done multiple research studies in the Middle East. I scored 5 on AP World History, AP European History, and 4 in AP American History. I will make history such an interesting subject for you to learn! I have been learning Dutch at the University of Minnesota for 4 years and have a Dutch minor degree. I'm also certified in Dutch proficiency through the Department of German, Scandinavian, and Dutch at the University of Minnesota. I've lived in Amsterdam from 2017-2018. I know how to efficiently and systematically teach the Dutch language based on my own experience. Ballet has been my passion for almost 18 years. I started when I was 3 (now I'm 22), and I only love ballet more and more each day. I was trained in the Vaganova style of ballet (Russian) until I was 14 in Minnesota. When I moved to Ohio for high school, the dance school in my area taught in the Balanchine style of American ballet. When I returned to Minnesota for college in 2015, I started dancing at the Minnesota Dance Theater. I recently moved to Florida and run my own home dance studio. Hope to see you guys in class!
