- Levels Taught:
- Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I've been sewing for around 13 years since then. I founded my own clothing brand in high school where I created all garments from scratch (pattern-making to sewing to styling). I went on to graduate with a BFA in Fashion Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2016 where I am now working on custom design commissions for clients in NYC.
I have a unique balance on the art of sewing as I can teach in a more structured way if you prefer the basics or a more creative/fashion-driven way as that is my background and current field!
**Important: I do not offer pattern drafting lessons unless student is okay with a definite price adjustment and a possible time adjustment depending on the project needed.
- Teaches students:
- Ages 10 to 85
- Teaching since:
I first learned how to sew from a wonderful woman teaching in-home sewing lessons! Her one on one lessons helped catapult me into the skilled sewer I am today!
I have been sewing since then for about 13 years now. I started my own clothing brand in high school where I created every item by hand (pattern-drafting to sewing). I then went on to receive my BFA in Fashion Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design where my construction skills advanced. I am currently working on custom design commissions in NYC.
My sewing teaching methods are unique in that I have both sides of the equation to offer--structural/basics and creative/fashion. I am happy to work with any student on what they choose to focus on and what they are excited about gaining from the lessons!
**Please note: I am not offering pattern-drafting lessons as I am not skilled enough to teach that. I am still learning and teaching myself those skills every day!

Sabrina teaches my twin daughters once a week and they love her!
Hi Everyone! I went to Sabrina to learn some basic hemming and alteration techniques. But she was so great I decided to take a few more lessons to learn some construction techniques, as well and now I feel like I can make some basic clothes for myself. She was so great!+ Read More
Sabrina was the most incredibly knowledgeable, patient and helpful teacher. I had just a rudimentary understanding of sewing but with a few short lessons she helped me so much to do so many things. Her knowledge of everything to do with sewing and fashion is just astonishing and her work is impeccable. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn more about sewing or construction.+ Read More
Sabrina was a great teacher and was able to explain things to me more clearly than most professors I've had. She knows womenswear like the back of her hand and really helped me improve my sewing and construction.
