I am a lifelong lover of reading, with my degree in English and Journalism and a minor in Science. I love learning and helping others do the same!

I started my career as a substitute teacher, and have taught at both the elementary and middle school levels. I currently teach ESL and tutor students from ages 5-17 in a number of subjects. I also assist students who need to learn or improve their study skills and help them to create strong organizational systems that will help them manage a college level work load.

In addition to teaching, I have many years of experience in administration and marketing and can assist students in business and marketing courses, including ESL students who are interested in improving their English and communication skills.

I have been teaching or tutoring since 2000 and have had great success with my students, ranging from middle school to college-age, and non-traditional students.

I began tutoring through after I began teaching ESL and wanted to expand my business. I prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging my students with fun and creative lessons. I like to help students apply what they learn to real world situations to help them fully understand the relevance and necessity of knowing and using English in their everyday lives.
