Ages 10+ and special needs

Teaching since:

I'm a software and web developer with 8+ years of experience. I'm a volunteer tutor and mentor at various local organizations such as the Hour of Code ( and local colleges who are in need of people who specialize in specific areas of Computer Science. I tutor, mentor, and guide any students of all ages who need help with anything pertaining to computer science, computer engineering, and especially programming.

I've created various curriculum for: Scratch Jr, Scratch, Java, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, Website Design, Python, C#, VB.NET, and Cybersecurity. I take pride in my ability to convey and illustrate many topics in unique and innovative ways tailored for each student (no matter what age). My goal is to leave a student with the ability to analyze, think critically, create solutions independently, and most of all—gain a sense of pride and confidence. All students are welcome back to ask questions.

I'm proficient with C#, VB.NET, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Apps Script (Google), and Pascal (Delphi); while comfortable with ASP.NET(MVC & WinForms) and C/C++. I'm well experienced with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 10, and I'm knowledgeable with later variants of mac OS X and Linux/Unix. I'm certified in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Feel free to contact me for anything pertaining to the experience and knowledge I have! I enjoy communicating with students because we both learn something by the end of the conversation. No question is too dumb and no concept is too hard to grasp—just possess a desire to try and we'll figure out what works for you. I do my best to adapt to each student's needs and educational background so that I may teach efficiently and in a timely manner. Flexibility, humility, and versatility are core traits I take pride in and I believe are required for the education of students.
