Embroidery with Miriam L.

By day I am a museum education professional and have worked in non-profit arts education for a decade. In my spare time I enjoy all things crafty, but embroidery is my true crafting love. I am a third generation embroiderer and sharing my enthusiasm with others is my great joy. I have an embroidery business called Lucky Little Sew and Sew that is mostly commissions for wedding, baby gifts and children's artwork. I am a lover of all things dainty and vintage and live in an embroidery filled apartment with my soon-to-be-husband and cat. Whether you just want to learn how to make a specific embroidered piece, or you are looking to make this a full-blown hobby, I'm here for you. I love working with adults who are looking for a new hobby, or to refresh their knowledge from when they were younger. I have taught embroidery from ages 10-94, and I am able to individualize instruction to make every student feel successful. If you are looking for lessons, but want to share the cost, I'd be happy to lead small group instruction for 2-3 friends. I am also available to lead a fun bridal shower, birthday party, or girlscout sewing badge activity.
