Hi! I'm Michelle, a world traveler/teacher who's here to help bring her experience and energy to students back home in California. I've taught various subjects such as test prep, English, history, and languages to students all over the world, such as China, France, and Ecuador. I've worked with students of all ages and love getting to know them to help figure out how they best learn.
I love learning languages in my spare time and practicing when I can. When I'm not looking a bit silly doing that, I'm usually reading, at a baseball game, hiking, or hanging out with friends. I keep active, making sure to run or climb a mountain when I can. However, it's equally as strong as my love for foods of all kinds.
I really look forward to getting to work with you and helping you with whatever I can!
I teach high school French, creating the curriculum for all levels for the school.
I taught adults ESL, working with levels from barely coherent to multi-leveled debates. We focused on all aspects of language, including reading, speaking, and grammar.
I worked for an after-school program watching first-graders and helping them with homework, as well as teaching them important social skills and learning skills.
I worked as an English teacher for fifth and sixth graders. Their skills were very basic, so we worked on simple conjugation, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
I worked in high school teaching anything from test prep to world history to English to literature. I both taught full time as well as tutored on the side to students from all over the world.
I received my TEFL certification online before moving to China.
