In my work as a freelance photographer, I have worked with corporate clients to individuals seeking independent work. My work includes event photography with The Wing, wedding photography, studio shoots for pageant contestants, maternity shoots, and more. In this work I collaborate with individuals and organizations in planning photoshoots, artistic direction, photographing and editing. 

A recent accomplishment was having my work featured in Vogue Italia.

I spend a great deal of time on light room, and have learned incredibly valuable things from my own experimentation. I have done editing that ranges from "cinematic" style edits to wedding edits to food photography edits. My lessons with students will help them understand WHY things are the way they, so that they can continue to apply theory and techniques to their own work. I love experimental work, and will always be excited to explore topics that I haven't mentioned.

Hi! My name is Meslech Bellay and I am a photographer in the DC area. I started photography as a kid, and since then have explored travel photography, food photography, documentary photography, fashion photography, studio and more! The biggest lesson I have learned is to be imaginative with your work. You are NOT constrained by equipment. Anyone has the ability to learn photography and editing, even if its with a phone camera. My desire to teach you based on where you are now and what your goals are.
